My vote was stolen, but my determination is here to stay

On 25th October 2015, Zanzibaris of all walks of life went to poll to decide their political leadership for the next five years. Three days later, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Jecha Salum Jecha, under the alleged influence of the then United Republic of Tanzania, nullified their votes and deprived them of their very democratic right to choose and control their government. But Zanzibaris’ spirit for democratic and prosperous society is still there.
